Royal Bank is a Canada based bank that was established in the year 1864 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The bank was first opened bearing the name of “Merchants Bank” which later changed to “Merchants’ Bank of Halifax in the year 1869. It was not until 1901 that they’ve decided to change the name into Royal Bank of Canada. They are the first bank in Canada that used computer technology (1961) in banking services.

This bank has been known to be consistent to their services and impressed public describing the RBC as the one who stays active and functioning.
